Immediate Result vs. Settled Result

Lips often look noticeably fuller immediately after treatment due to swelling, then settle into their true final shape over the following one to two weeks. An "after" photo taken the same day can overstate the eventual result.

Volume and Shape Are Different Decisions

How much filler is used (often discussed in millilitres) affects overall volume, while injection technique shapes the outcome — some patients want a more defined "cupid's bow" and border (sometimes described as a "butterfly" shape), others want an even, natural fullness throughout. Both are decisions made together with your practitioner based on your natural lip shape.

What to Look for in Comparison Photos

Consistent lighting, angle, and a relaxed (not pursed) lip position make for a much more honest comparison between before and after images.
