Facelift Before and After: What Results Really Look Like
Facelift before-and-after photos are useful for understanding what the procedure can achieve — as long as you know what you're actually looking at.
Natural vs. "Overdone"
The goal of a well-planned facelift is a natural, refreshed appearance rather than an obviously tightened or "pulled" look. When comparing photos, a subtler, more natural-looking change is often a sign of good technique — not a less effective result.
Give Swelling Time to Settle
Bruising and swelling are most noticeable in the first two to three weeks. An "after" photo taken too early won't reflect the final result, which continues to refine over the following months.
What to Expect From Scarring
Facelift incisions are carefully placed around the hairline and ear to be as inconspicuous as possible. Scars typically fade considerably over the first year, though as with any surgical incision they don't disappear completely.
