Cheek filler results vary enormously based on the volume used and where it's placed — understanding both helps make sense of before-and-after comparisons.

How Much Filler Is "Enough"?

There's no universal answer — 1ml might be plenty for subtle enhancement on someone with a naturally narrower face, while more may be needed for someone wanting a more noticeable lift or with more volume loss to restore. More filler isn't automatically a better result; appropriate volume for your specific face is what matters.

Recognizing "Too Much" Filler

Overfilled cheeks can create an unnaturally rounded or "pillow face" look, sometimes making the face appear longer or heavier than intended. This is generally the result of overcorrection over repeated treatments rather than a single session, which is why conservative, staged treatment is often recommended.

Injection Points and Technique

Placement is planned around your specific bone structure — commonly along the cheekbone and mid-cheek area — and marked out before injection to ensure symmetry. The under-eye area is treated with particular caution given the thinner skin and different anatomy there, and isn't always appropriate to treat with the same technique as the cheeks.
